General Information: The Ocean Master was acquired by the Patrol in 2012, and is the first boat in over 46 years (since Boat #1) that was completely custom-designed and built specifically for the Water Safety Patrol. Some of the custom features include: center console design with complete access bow to stern for working; twin inboard configuration; 4-blade props; and heavy-duty t-top with top-mounted light bar and siren. The boat also has a removable transom which allows crew members to easily pull patients on backboards into the boat from the water.
Ocean Master is a custom boat builder in West Palm Peach, FL, and they specialize in custom-designed work boats. They build each boat by hand one at a time, and have a reputation for extreme durability and quality.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Nauert Family, the Patrol was able to purchase this state-of-the-art craft, and it is named for the late Peter W. Nauert, a former member of the Patrol's Board of Directors.
